Hamantashen

Happy Purim!!

Purim is from the Assyrian word ‘pura’ meaning “lot,” referring to lots cast by Haman to determine the day decreed for the annihilation of the Jews.

A kind coworker of mine brought me a special treat today! It is a Hamantashen.

Today I am remembering the story of Esther, and when the Jews living in Persia were saved from extinction. If you have never read the book of Esther, I highly recommend you read it. And even if you have, re-read it! 😉 It is a great reminder of how our sovereign God is faithful to His promises and how he can turn ordinary people into heros!
