Today was a great day!  Despite having an icky stomach and horrible headache for three days now, I am grateful today.

I had my court appointment for my “red light” ticket.  I was really nervous about going to court.  Though I heard it was not big deal, I have never gone before, well besides when I was in school and I went to “report” on various cases.  I had never gone on behalf of myself.  I didn’t know what to expect.

I have a friend whose father is a retired police officer.  She told him about my situation, and he said he would call the courthouse to put in a good word for me.  He called yesterday, and she told me that I would be speaking with a certain guy and that her dad said I should touch base with him.  When I got to the counter, I asked to speak with that person and they did not know who he was.  The guy had never heard of him.  I was thinking Uh Oh, I’m sunk.  But then I thought, oh well…I’ll just go in there and explain to the magistrate  how I misjudged the light (the truth), and that I would like to have the offense lowered as to not get points (I have a clean record, and was told by many, this would help).

So I left the counter and went and sat in the waiting area for the Magistrate to call me in.  Well, it felt like I was waiting forever.  I was talking with another guy there who seemed to be a pro at fighting speeding tickets, lol.  He was giving me a bit of the run-down.  He said I may get called in to see the Prosecutor first.  I was a lil freaked by that, but he said that was a “good thing” and that you could explain your case.  Often it was the prosecutor he said that would let you off, or lower your offense.

As I was sitting there, a coworker walked in.  Now that was funny, what are the chances that me and a coworker had the very same court times for our tickets. LOL.  That was humorous.

I got the call into the Prosecutor’s office, and he told me he received a call about me yesterday and that today was my lucky day.  He then asked me how lucky I wanted to be.  I, of course, told him VERY LUCKY!!!  🙂 He said, “Ok, I’m going to dismiss your ticket.”  I thought, really??  I was, and am, incredibly grateful!!  I don’t really consider it luck though, I consider it answered prayer.

This prosecutor showed me GRACE!  I deserved the ticket, I did.  But he let me off.  WHEW…thank the Lord.  Now I do not have points, and I did not owe a thing.  God is gracious, even when we are undeserving!!

I made my way to BodyBlade tonight, even though I wasn’t feeling so hot.  It was ok, cuz BodyBlade is a lot lower key than boot camp.  It was a good workout, just what my arms needed actually. 🙂

After that, I stopped by Planet Fitness to check them out.  A friend and I are considering going there in the mornings before work.  This means, I would be doing more of my workouts in the mornings versus evenings.  This would free up some of my evenings for me, which would be good.  However, I’d still have to go to boot camp and BodyBlade sometimes, cuz I just love those classes!

Carrot Cake Protein Bars

I just made a batch of carrot cake protein bars.  Oh man, is it smelling good in here!!  I probably shouldn’t dig in because I already had two of my chocolate ones a couple of hours ago.  Bummer.  Somehow you think cuz they are healthy, and protein you can justify eating the whole pan. LOL.

Gosh, I’ll be good I guess.  I’ll just dream about them as my morning snack tomorrow.  The way it smells in here though, I think my mouth is going to water all night! 😉

Oh, and I will post the recipe soon.

Goodnight all!

Kale Chips

The guy at Panera just gave me a free coffee!  How nice of him!  🙂

I don’t know why I torture myself by coming to Panera.  The aroma of fresh baked bread and cookies is killing me right now!

How was your weekend?

Trail Walk

Last night I enjoyed a nice trail walk with my dad.  I love living in a spot where I can walk right from home to a walking trail.  My dad came by, and we hoofed it. We “speed walked” for about 55 minutes at about 4.5 mph!  It was a lil’ windy and cool, but highly enjoyable.

My dad is a great walking partner.  I really love our deep conversations about the bible.  Last night we were talking a lot about the connections between the Old and the New Testament.  Amazing, just amazing.  And it just blows my mind how detailed God is – in everything!

For example, we talked about how Jesus was born and wrapped in swaddling clothes.  Well, swaddling clothes of course is what they would bury the dead in.  It’s what Jesus was wrapped in when buried in the tomb. SO, what a connection  showing all again, He was “born to die.”  He was wrapped in swaddling clothes (clothes for the dead) as a little newborn baby.

God is just so amazing how He connects all the details. Wow…

Along our journey, we marveled at God’s creation.  We kept running into bunnies.  They were so cute.  This lil’ guy was like the sixth one we saw!

Kale Chips

After our walk, I went home and jumped into my “comfys” and settled in the kitchen to make some kale chips.  My friend had given me some earlier in the day, and gosh they were delicious!  I cannot believe how simple to make either.  Perhaps you all have tried them and I am way behind the “kale craze,” however if you haven’t, give them a try!

  • Fresh organic kale
  • Olive Oil (in spritzer)
  • Seasoning salt
  • Sea salt

Rinse the kale and dry off.  Break apart from the stem.  Lay out the “leaves” on a cookie sheet.  Spray/spritz with some olive oil.  Sprinkle with sea salt and seasoning salt.

Ta Da!  Nice crispy kale chips! 🙂

So delicious!

I put them in a bowl with my 94% fat free microwave popcorn and had a yummy evening snack!

Totally satisfied my salt cravings! 🙂

Off to do some reading before boot camp.  Picked up a new book from the Library – Inbound Marketing (New Rules of Social Media Series).  Anyone read it?  I’ll let ya know how it is…

So You Want To Date My Daughter?

Lunch & Afternoon

I’m suddenly getting very sleepy.  Perhaps it’s the clouds that are moving in.  I got enough rest last night, I went to bed early and even slept through my cardio.  I figured my body needed a rest… with boot camp and BodyBlade Tuesday night and boot camp last night, and boot camp and BodyBlade tonight… LOL.   Yeah!  Rest was needed.

I had a tasty lunch today, one of my favorites actually.  Often I bring a lunch to work, but today I went to Baja Fresh for their side of grilled chicken.  I always sneak in my own low-carb tortilla’s (don’t tell) so between that and their fresh salsa, it makes a very healthy and filling lunch!

Of course, I had to go to the Barnes and Noble after, since it right near Baja Fresh.  My daily “after lunch decaf and dark chocolate” made it a wonderful hour out!

So You Want To Date My Daughter?

No, I do not have a daughter!  In fact, I don’t have any kids at the moment… but God willing, some day I will.

A friend posted this on his Facebook page today, and I thought it was GREAT!  If ever I am blessed with a daughter, I would hope her father would be as bold and thoughtful as this man is in regards to protecting her.

1. You must love Jesus. I don’t care if you’re a “good Christian boy.” I was one of those too. So I know the tricks. I’m going to ask you specific, heart-testing questions about your spiritual affections, your daily devotional life, your idols, your disciplines, and the like. I’ll cut you a little bit of slack because you’re young and hormonal and your pre-frontal lobe isn’t fully developed yet, but I’ll be watching you like a hawk. I know you. I was you. You will think you can fool me, and you likely have fooled many other dads who didn’t pay much attention to their daughters’ suitors, but I will be on you like Bourne on that guy whose neck he broke. Which guy was that? Every guy. So love Jesus more than my daughter or go home.

2. You will install X3Watch or Covenant Eyes on your computer and mobile devices and have your regular reports sent to me.

3. I will talk to your dad and tell him I will hold him responsible if you don’t treat my daughter like a lady. If he thinks I’m a crazy person, you fail the test and won’t get to date her. If he understands what I’m saying, that bodes well for you.

4. You will pay for everything. Oh, sure, every now and then my daughter can buy you a Coke or something and a gift on your birthday and at Christmas. But you pay for meals, movies, outings, whatever else. Don’t have a job? I’m sorry, why I am talking to you again?

5. You will accept my Facebook friend request.

6. If it looks like you need a belt to hold your pants up, I will assume you don’t have a job. See #4.

7. Young people dating are putting their best face forward, so if you appear impatient, ill-tempered, or ill-mannered, I know you will gradually become more so over time. I will have no jerks dating my daughters.

8. If I am not your pastor, I will talk to the man who is. If your pastor is a woman, why I am talking to you, again?

9. You don’t love my daughter. You have no idea what love is. You like her and you might love her someday. That’s an okay start with me, so put the seatbelt on the mushy gushy stuff. Don’t profess your undying love, quote stupid love song lyrics to her, tell her you’d die for her, or feed her any other boneheaded lines that are way out of your depth as a horny little idiot. A lady’s heart is a fragile thing. If you play with hers, I will show you yours.

10. If you ever find yourself alone with my daughter, don’t panic. Just correct the situation immediately. If I ever catch you trying to get alone with my daughter, that would be the time to panic.

11. It may sound like I’m joking in threatening you harm, and while I might not physically hurt you if you offend my daughter or violate her honor, when I am addressing the issue with you, you will not be laughing.

12. You may think all this sounds very legalistic. That’s fine. You can be one of the many antinomians not dating my daughter.

Good Stuff huh?! 😉  If you want to read more about the author/father check him out here.

Now… what about something like this for the 30-somethings men out there who STILL do not ‘get it’!

Off to boot camp… !  Have a great night!

A Ticket and a Fender Bender

I’m gonna say Happy Saturday!

Although, my Saturday has not been too “happy” thus far.

I got into a minor “fender bender” this morning. I actually rear-ended a friend who was starting to turn then stopped when he decided to let a car go and “wait for me.” Last I knew, he had turned and so I was looking at traffic to my left (for my turn) and inching my way out when BAM! It was a kind gesture for him to wait, no doubt, it just did not end well. 😦 Thankfully, we are both fine and it was minor. But I JUST got my car back from the transmission repair, and now this.

Not to mention, last night I got a I got ticket for running a red light. The light turned yellow, and I felt like I couldn’t slam on my breaks fast enough. I noticed it was red as I went under, and then sure enough, there came the flashing lights behind me.

Do you ever just feel like it is not your weekend? I mean, seriously… when things rain, they pour.

The ticket, I deserved. What’s funny is, I was on my way home from a wonderful Good Friday service. I heard an awesome message on the law, and how Christ fulfilled the requirements of the law when He died on the cross. The temple curtain, which separated the Holy of Holies, the most HOLY Place, from the rest of the temple was torn. All of the sacrifices that were required to cover for sin have been completed. We no longer need to offer blood of animals as sacrifice for our sin.

After hearing such an awesome message on the forgiveness of our sins, as I was waiting for the officer to come back to my car, I thought will this officer have mercy on me and not give me a ticket? I deserved it, it’s true. I ran the red light. I cannot deny that. But would he offer me grace, give me a warning, let me go on my way? No, he did not. He chose to give me the correct “punishment” for my actions.

You know, how gracious and loving is the Lord. That He decided to “cover” the penalty of our sin. Instead of giving us what we deserve, He put ALL of our sin (lies, murder, theft, lust, anger etc) onto His son, and crucified Him on the cross so that we could be free from our sin. We no longer have to pay the price.

I was am not happy about the ticket; but honestly, it made me even more grateful this Easter weekend for a Savior, who unlike the officer, has shown me undeserved mercy and grace.

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” – Romans 6:23

This morning I did 50 minutes on the elliptical machine. I didn’t obviously make it to boot camp, so I’m glad I worked out extra hard on the elliptical. It said I burned 525 calories – Nice!

It’s probably good I didn’t do boot camp this morning anyway, after yesterday’s Body Blade class.

Let me tell you, we all were expecting to “get off easy” yesterday morning with Body Blade. We are used to boot camp. I mean come on, that is the HARD stuff right? Wiggling around a lil blade, that’s easy! UM… No!

He had us whipping these blades, out to the side, up over our heads, behind our backs, on our stomachs, in squat position… WHILE DOING SIT UPS!!! It was crazy (I think he’s crazy) 😉

Seriously though, it was a GREAT workout! I definitely feel it in my shoulders, back, arms, etc.; exactly where I need it. I loved it! In fact, most of us in the class did. SO… they will be adding Body Blade class to the weekly schedule! Yay!

I am all for mixing up the workouts! This is gonna be great!

First Body Blade class

Good Friday and Good Coffee

Matthew 27:28-37 KJV

“And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe. And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews! And they spit upon him, and took the reed, and smote him on the head. And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify him. And as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name: him they compelled to bear his cross. And when they were come unto a place called Golgotha, that is to say, a place of a skull, They gave him vinegar to drink mingled with gall: and when he had tasted thereof, he would not drink. And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots. And sitting down they watched him there; And set up over his head his accusation written, THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.”

I am SO thankful for the cross of Christ. My heart is overflowing with Joy this morning, that the GOD of this Universe, the creator of ALL things, sent His son, to die on a cross, as punishment for MY sin, so that I can be SAVED!!!

I don’t know about you, but that brings me tremendous PEACE today. No matter what you are going through (in this life, you will have trouble) remember this is not the end. Life on earth is not the “end all” and death does not have the victory. You know why? Because Jesus dying on the cross is not the end of the story… in THREE days, He ROSE from the dead! He returned to Heaven to be with the Father, but because of Him… we too do not have to face death without hope. He promises in His word that if we put our trust in Him, we too will have EVERLASTING life!

If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” – Romans 10:9

Do you believe that today? If you don’t, I encourage you to seek Him out. He says, “if you seek me, you will find me.” (Jeremiah 29:13)

One thing is for sure in this life… we will ALL die. You can eat right, exercise, take your vitamins 😉 … etc, BUT we all will have a day when our time will end. Our hearts will take their final beat. In that moment, you will stand before the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. At that time, He will determine your fate. Did you know Him? Did you trust in Him for the forgiveness of your sins?

It is a FREE gift, you don’t have to DO anything. Just put your hope and trust in Him. IT is simple!

Will you invest in your eternal future? Will you be sure of your eternity? I pray that you will know Him today!

I got up at 4:45 this morning (even though I didn’t have to; I didn’t even set my alarm – I am off work today). I headed to the fitness center and did 50 minutes on the elliptical. I got 8 miles in and burned 470 calories. It felt awesome! 🙂

I enjoyed a special treat this morning with my oats. COFFEE! But not just any coffee… heathy, organic coffee!

Organo Gold

As I’ve mentioned before, I was told by the cardiologist that I have to go “Caffeine Free.” I’ve been doing decaf for a little over a year now. I’m always looking to try some great tasting varieties of coffee.

A kind reader offered to send me a sample of some organic Gandoerma coffee. This coffee is actually made from the Gandoerma mushroom.

The website states:

  • Ganoderma Lucidum is believed to provide the following health benefits:
  • Increases energy & vigour
  • Boosts stamina
  • Oxygenates the body
  • Acts as a natural detoxifier
  • Increases mental focus
  • Supports the immune system
  • Provides over 150 all natural antioxidants to fight free radicals

… and much more!

Wow, sounds like some awesome health benefits to me! If that’s really what it does, I’ll take it!

As I opened the little packet and poured it into my cup, I noticed the aroma. Smelled pretty good I thought. I added the hot water, and watched it bubble a bit (I like bubbles in my coffee). I stirred it up and took a sip. Not bad!

I noticed right away it had the “dark roast” flavor. I could tell it was a little more than “just coffee” in my cup, but not in a bad way. There was a slight bitterness to the taste, but not any more than a dark roast coffee would typically have.

I’ve been purposely drinking my coffee black lately (as to avoid extra calories with cream and sugar) and so I didn’t add a thing to this.

Overall I would say it does have a pretty unique taste, but was ultimately enjoyable. I am looking forward to trying my second cup, and seeing if this is something I might be interested in.

I will put its claims of “boosting stamina” to the test in about an hour when I hit up my first Body Blade class. 😉

If you are interested checking this healthy coffee for yourself, visit at www.wisecoffee.ca.

Have a great morning, I am off to Body Blade!

My alarm went off at 4:30 this morning and I was all set to head to the fitness center. I put on my workout garb, and was ready to go out the door when I felt the Lord saying, “don’t’ go.” I was like huh? I woke up this early to go, and now I’m not gonna go? I really felt the Lord telling me to skip the morning workout and spend time with Him.

SO, I did. I got out my bible, sat at my table and spent some good time in the Word.

I am reading through a series of scripture that our Pastor gave us to read though for “Passion Week.” One of my favorite things I read this morning was this…

“Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you; I will come back and take you to be with me that you may also be where I am.”
– John 14:1-3

He’s Coming Back Folks!!! Now that got my heart pumped up even more that some morning exercise! 😉

Today I have an appointment with an orthodontist.

I have already done a round of Invisalign about a year and a half ago, and for some reason I have two stubborn teeth that still want to stick behind. I’m not completely convinced that Invisalign is the way to go when you want to straighten your teeth.

Perhaps it’s because I went through a dentist and not an orthodontist, but I feel like I did not get the attention to detail that one would want when they are in the process of straightening their teeth.

I will say that having the clear aligners and not a “metal mouth” was nice, especially being in your thirties, and also overall they did do a good job at moving my teeth to where they should almost be.

It is quite a difference from where I started…

SO… I will see what the say. If it’s a quick and not super expensive fix to get those teeth where they ought to be, then I may do it. If they want to rearrange my whole mouth for a year-plus and charge me almost 6-grand (like the quote I got from a different ortho last week) forget it!

Questions of the day:

Big or small, has the Lord given you a “change of plans” lately, and if so, in what way?

Have you ever had braces? What was your experience?

Passover Seder

How was your weekend?

Mine was great. It was very busy, and flew by super fast. I am looking forward to the short work week! 🙂

This morning I woke up around 4 a.m., prior to my alarm going off. I felt wiped, so not sure why I woke up so early. I laid there and debated getting out of bed to go to the fitness center or just chilling in bed for the next hour. Finally, I decided I better get up and go get some cardio in since I will be missing boot camp tonight.

I got out of bed a little later then I normally like when I’m going to work out before work (it was just so comfy and cozy this morning), so I had to book it pretty fast to the fittnes center in order to have time to get a full 30 minutes in.

I jumped on the elliptical, set the time and level (level 3), and got to moving. I’ve found that watching the morning news while working out actually makes the time go by a little faster than listening to music. Before I knew it, it was time to head back and eat some breakfast.

I had my overnight oats waiting for me (Yay! – love them) and just had to whip up my Shakeology & Spinach smoothie. Both things hit the spot this morning!

Last night was a wonderful experience; I attended a Jewish Seder dinner that my church had hosted. It was such a great way to begin the “Holy Week” leading up to Easter Sunday.

We were able to partake in the ritual feast which marks the beginning of the Jewish holiday of Passover.

Matzah ("the poor person's bread")

Maror (bitter herbs which symbolize the bitterness of slavery)

Hillel Sandwich (matzah & maror)

The sandwich consisted of matzah and bitter herbs (maror). Matzah is the thin bread that represents the freedom the Israelites have been granted, as opposed to being slaves of Pharaoh in Egypt. Inside the two pieces of matzah is the bitter herbs, symbolizing life’s hardships.

The Seder is based on the Biblical verse which commands Jews to retell the story of the Exodus from Egypt: “You shall tell your child on that day, saying, ‘It is because of what the LORD did for me when I came out of Egypt.’” (Exodus 13:8)

We were reminded of God’s faithfulness, and His plan for salvation.

Not only did He save the Israelites by the blood of a lamb during Passover (the blood on the doorposts of their home caused the death angel to “pass over”), He has provided the blood of a lamb, The Messiah, to save all who believe from their sin and death, offering eternal life to both Jews and Gentiles alike.

“I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.” Romans 1:16

Sunday Morning

Good Morning!

I just had a little photo shoot. I am sitting in the local coffee shop and I looked up out the window and saw my dad, standing on the street, getting pictures of the downtown. I got up, tried banging on the window; of course he didn’t hear me. I went outside and flagged him down. He then snapped a few shots of me out there. Maybe if they are good, I’ll post them.

I should post more of his pictures actually. They are awesome. My dad has taken up photography as a hobby, and his work is amazing.

I got up this morning and headed for the gym (after my Shakeology/spinach smoothie).

I jumped on the elliptical and programmed in a custom interval workout. I set it for 30 minutes, doing 30 seconds of sprinting at maximum heart rate followed by 90 seconds of rest. It wasn’t too hard actually, and the time went by super fast. I think I may have to kick it up a bit next time.

I followed the elliptical training with 10 minutes on the bike. I set the bike at level 4 and kept my heart rate up to about 80%.

Overall, it was a great workout and I was drenched in sweat at the end. Mission accomplished. 😉

Waiting on the Lord

After my workout I watched Charles Stanley, like I try to do every Sunday morning as I get ready for church. This morning it felt like he was talking directly to me.

There are a few things in my life that I have been waiting on the Lord for. Things that I have been waiting for for a loooong time! Things that often leave me heavy-hearted and confused and sometimes wondering, has the Lord forgotten about me?

This morning, Charles reminded me of the truth in my situation.

The truth is, God’s timing is perfect. He is sovereign and in control, and His time-table is not our time-table. He desires to give good things to His children, and He wants to give us His best. He PROMISES to give us His Best IF we wait on Him.

We are often tempted to jump ahead of His plan when we feel like we’ve waited too long, and we just cannot stand it any longer. But jumping ahead of His timing compromises His perfect plan for our life. Though we may have gotten what we thought we wanted, it will surely bring us disappointment if it wasn’t from Him.

Psalm 37:44 says, “Put your hope in the Lord. Travel steadily along his path. He will honor you by giving you the land. You will see the wicked destroyed. “

It brings me joy to know that my waiting is not in vain. The Lord knows exactly where I am at, what my desires are, and what is BEST for me. If I feel like I cannot wait any longer; He will give me strength.

“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31

As you go about your Sunday, and if you are waiting on God for something in your life as I am, remember His truth. Remember He cares. He knows your hearts desires, and if you put your hope in Him, and wait for His best, He WILL bless you.

So cling to His Word… and do not lose hope – “Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.” Psalm 27:14

I am off to church…

P90 Ache

Good morning!

I decided to give the cardio a rest this morning and work in some strength training. I did the P90X Arms & Shoulders workout. I’ve only did this once before and as I recall the next day, I felt it pretty good!

I’m sure there’s a lot of us out there, not just me, who actually enjoy that “ache” following the workout. The soreness is kind if like your badge of honor… Telling you you’ve accomplished something. 😉

This morning I have to take my car in to the dealership for a ‘bulletin’ item to get fixed. When I make left turns, my steering wheel will ‘click’ as the wheel turns back to straight. It’s pretty annoying; it’s done this ever since I bought the car new in 2010, so it will be nice to have that gone.

I am killing time at Starbucks until the dealership opens. That’s not such a bad deal… I get to actually come to Starbucks and chill out before work. I never get to do this!

On to my reading…

Have a great day everyone!

In His Presence

Happy first day of spring!

We are looking at 81 degrees and sunshine here in Southeastern Michigan today.  Yeah-hoo!

I woke up early to get my cardio in before work.  I wasn’t really feeling it (maybe because I am STILL sick), and I totally wanted to just phone-in, but I am glad I stuck it out.  I only did 25 minutes on the bike, but when you do the interval training, it can really kick your boo-tang!

Speaking of training, I found out yesterday that I am loosing my personal trainer! 😦  Due to unforeseen circumstances, he is leaving the gym I work out at.  It makes me sad to lose him… and a little “freaked out.”  I am thinking: what am I going to do without his support and motivation?  Don’t get me wrong, I do love my boot camp classes, and my trainer for that is amazing too, and very motivational… but I really liked the variety and the one-on-one sessions.  Maybe I will up my boot camp classes per week, or add in some DVD workouts.  For now though, I am bummed.

Just To Be With You

My little cat Penny tried to barricade me in this morning when I went to leave for work.

She does this often.  When ever she catches wind that I’m about to leave, she will book it super fast down the stairs to try to beat me.  Her sister Posy does this too, only she doesn’t throw herself down against the door like Penny does.

Penny and Posy always like to be wherever I am at.  If I’m in the kitchen, they come in the kitchen.  If I’m in the bedroom, they come in the bedroom.  If I’m in the bathroom, they come in the bathroom.

When I take a shower, I can see them through the glass, just sitting there patiently; waiting for me, because they want to be where I’m at.

It makes me think that as a Christian, I should be like this with the Lord.  I should follow wherever He leads, and go wherever He goes… just to be with Him should make my heart content.

“You make known to me the path of life;

in your presence there is fullness of joy;

at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”  Psalm 16:11

I am thankful for the sweet reminder from my little feline friends, that when you love your master, you wish nothing more than just to be in their presence.
